Beware of Frisman Jackson

Kevin Ogletree had one heck of a game on Wednesday night against the New York Giants.  In the Cowboys 24-17 win over the Giants at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford NJ, Ogletree caught 8 passes for 114 yards with 2 touchdowns from Tony Romo.

With a week 1 performance like that you know that Ogletree will be the waiver wire darling in many a fantasy league this week.  But be warned, we have seen other fantasy players go off in week 1 only to disappear back into fantasy obscurity.  Some have gone on to give solid production, but stud like numbers, as they say in NY, fuhgeddaboudit.

Below is a list of week 1 wonders, starting with the infamous Frisman Jackson, that, well, let’s say that they didn’t live up to the expectations generated from their week 1 performance.  If this list doesn’t make you take pause with Ogletree, than nothing will.  Yes I know that Laurent Robinson was productive once he got on the field with the Cowboys last year, so if you want to hang your hat on that, go right ahead.

Enjoy…
